"Our customers are willing to pay more for reliable, premium service", says Robert Lipinski, Chairman. This stems from management's commitment towards disciplined work habits that has enabled us to maintain steady growth since our inception in 1976. Our professional demeanor instills pride among our employees and confidence among our customers.

The success we have and continue to experience is directly attributable to a detail-oriented operation with strong financial management, skilled employees, creative design and a commitment to service.

The recent completion of our "state of the art facility" has eliminated the challenge to operate efficiently and allowed us to consolidate our operations from 4 locations to all now under 1 roof. Now that we've settled in South & Central New Jersey, we can now focus on expanding into other Northeast region markets.

To continue to be profitable in the Green Industry we believe we need to be committed to excellence in every phase of our operation. The company will continue to improve its position and gain a huge market share through the application of principled, financially sound business practices.

The Lipinski story began back in 1976 when our founder and chairman, Robert A. Lipinski was only one year out of High School and just beginning to study Horticulture at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. There Bob, who had a small landscaping business cutting lawns and working out of his family’s garage, began to associate himself with other students who were aspiring landscapers. From 1976 -1982 Lipinski was primarily a lawn cutting and maintenance contractor with the ability to install small landscape projects. It was during this time that Bob Lipinski realized the value of offering a variety of services with a positive “can-do” attitude. Recognizing the income potential in snow, Bob began to consider building the snow-end portion of his business and transforming it from a seasonal landscape business to a year-round Business.

In the early 1980s, Lipinski Landscape began to expand into commercial landscape maintenance and the irrigation business. Lipinski’s customer base grew modestly but steadily in the early years through word of mouth and the high visibility of the ever-expanding fleet of white trucks and blue trailers seen throughout neighborhoods and highways across Southern New Jersey.During the Mid 1980’s, Southern New Jersey experienced a building boom in both commercial and industrial office parks. As a response to Lipinski’s clients’ needs, a Design-Build Landscape Division was added in 1986 to service both high-end residential and commercial clientele with professional landscape installations. This was the first of its kind for the South Jersey area and today this department installs the most unique, well thought-out, functional designs in New Jersey.

The Philosophy was that by providing a variety of products and services and one-stop shopping to those customers by delivering continuous follow up on maintenance services would give Lipinski that competitive edge. In 1986, due to the company’s rapid growth, Pete Haran was brought aboard to lead the landscape department at Lipinski. Throughout the mid 1980s, Lipinski’s outstanding service to its residential clients led to the hiring of more talented professionals, including Landscape Architects.

As a result of extensive landscape installations, the demand for Lipinski’s Irrigation services increased dramatically. More and more lawn sprinklers were being installed and as of 2002 Lipinski maintained close to 3,000 lawn sprinkler accounts. With this growth came the need for providing both maintenance and snow to many of these clients. As a result of the strategy of providing an umbrella of services, the Lipinski Organization prospered and was able to grow at a rate of 20-30% annually.

In addition to the landscape and irrigation expansion during the mid 1980s, Lipinski expanded its snow removal services as well. It was not until the 1990s that Lipinski took an analytical and scientific approach to the process. With all the added new equipment and employees, Lipinski Snow Services took advantage of the seasonal aspect of Landscaping and utilized all the equipment and manpower it had from the warm months for use in the winter months. Lipinski realized it was performing an invaluable service each and every time it snowed, to every one of our clients, through a Minuteman approach to mobilization of manpower and machinery and delivers the most comprehensive snow removal service in the market.

To continue the company’s growth through the 1990’s Lipinski began a series of acquisitions of small landscape maintenance companies in the surrounding area. This aided the company’s growth by not only adding additional accounts and equipment, but also the addition of some key employees that were necessary for Lipinski to maintain these accounts. By 1997 the revenues of Lipinski Landscape & Irrigation had grown to such remarkable levels that it was recognized by Lawn & Landscape magazine and Landscape Management magazine as one of the top 50 Landscape firms in the nation.

Our Current Facility

During the year 2000, the company’s growth was such that it could no longer maintain all its employees at its corporate headquarters in Mount Laurel. On a temporary basis, the company leased two additional locations within a few miles of our headquarters. Considering the growth of the business and the great challenge to run it from three locations, the company decided to obtain a brand new facility and move all its people and equipment to under one roof. With the assistance of many employees, the management team at Lipinski designed a state-of the-art facility suited precisely to the needs of both the Landscape and snow companies on a sixteen-acre parcel in Marlton, New Jersey.

The Lipinski organization has grown successful for the last 30 years by building a solid reputation of providing outstanding, timely and quality service with a staff of seasoned professionals, while maintaining a high standard of safety for its customers and employees alike. The clients grew to respect Lipinski for the quick response time, and responded by renewing their contracts each and every year. As of today, approximately 20% of Lipinski’s total contracts are with clients whom Lipinski has been servicing for 20 years or more! These qualities do not go unnoticed; Lipinski is currently ranked as one of the top 5 Snow & Ice Management firms in the nation and a top 25 landscape company in the nation.

President Doug Cook, Vice President Pete Haran, and C.F.O. John Yarsinsky now have continued the vision set by Robert Lipinski. This irreplaceable team has taught the Lipinski values to all of its employees. Beginning the American dream from cutting lawns, Lipinski now offers an incredible range of services for any clients needs. Lipinski’s unique approach to the landscape industry is what has made it the highly successful operation it is today. This approach will continue to sustain them for years to come!
